Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars


  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg + 1 Egg Yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups chocolate chips 
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 pan. 
  • Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, peanut butter, and sugars until well combined.
  • Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract and stir well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture until completely combined.
  • Add milk and stir again until mixture is well incorporated.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Transfer batter to prepared pan and use a spatula to spread it evenly into pan.
  • Bake on 350F for 30 minutes or until edges are just beginning to turn golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with few moist crumbs.
  • Allow to cool before cutting and serving.
